- May 27, 2005. I graduated from Seton Hall Law School.
- April 20, 2002. Chris and I got married.
- November 5, 2001. (My 25th birthday.) Chris gave me an engagement
ring! We were in Taft Garden on Bryn Mawr's campus (where
we'll be getting married next year) and he got down on one knee, and said
he wouldn't ask me to marry him, since we're already getting married, but
asked if I would "accept this ring" instead. So now I have a beautiful
diamond and sapphire engagement ring. *beam*
- September 6, 2001. Decided to apply to law school.
Hurray! I haven't been this excited about anything in a long time.
- August 10, 2001. Laid off from Breakaway Solutions due
to a lack of clients, according to management. Breakaway filed
for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 three weeks later.
- March 9, 2001. Got promoted! From Associate Web Producer to
(Consultant-level) Web Producer.
- January 1-10, 2001. Went to Italy (specifically Rome, Florence, Pompei
and Tivoli) with my family.
- November 25, 2000. I proposed to my boyfriend, Chris, and he
accepted :). I bought /him/ an engagement ring a week later, which he
wears on the ring finger of his right hand. Our wedding date is set for
April 20, 2002.
- September 16-30, 2000. I went to San Francisco and Seattle
for two weeks, and saw a fair number of my friends (yay!) but took
precious few pictures, since I got most of the ones I wanted last time I
was there.
- August 9, 2000. I got a raise! Wahoo!! My new job was on something of a trail basis, to see how it
worked out, since it was a horizontal move rather than a true promotion.
But they said I was doing pretty well, so the trial period ended
early, only halfway through and I got my official promotion, and a
raise! Life is good :).
- July 22, 2000. I got a kitten: I named him Five. I know, I
know, it's odd-- but the geeks out there will understand. His name is
Five, for Cat-5 cable. Ethernet cable; that round cable you use to
network computers. He's white with gray patches, and no, I don't have
any pictures yet ;).
- July 5, 2000. I just got "discovered!" Well, not
truly "discovered," but it's the closest I may ever get, and it completely
made my day/week/month and was a huge ego boost. Talk about exciting! My
best friend Charley
and I were singing in Thomas Great Hall (an
acoustically marvelous place on Bryn
Mawr's campus), just because we enjoy singing and playing around, and
this couple walks in. We/I decide hey, why not, we'll just keep singing.
A few minutes later, after they wander around a bit, while Charley and I
continue to sing and alternate solos, they sit down and begin to listen.
Twice, they applaud when I finish songs, which made me laugh, and blush
:). 15 minutes later they approach me. The woman asks me if I sing
professionally, or have any recordings; I told her I didn't (other than a
CD my college a
cappella group did). She asked me if I would /like/ to sing
professionally. I sort of thought for a minute, somewhat flabbergasted,
and stammered, embarrassed but flattered, that that might be fun.
Turns out she "knows some people" in the recording business! To make a
long story short, she and I are still talking; it's by no means an easy
road, but it was really really neat to meet someone who thought that I
might have a chance to go....somewhere. Where ever "somewhere" is. But
she made me start thinking about it, and it definitely put me on cloud
nine for a while there. How neat!! It also made me reconsider writing
more songs, and recording some cover songs. The results are the MP3s I recorded here.
- June 26, 2000. I have a new job! No, I didn't leave my
company; I made a horizontal move within the company, Breakaway Solutions,
leaving the IT group to become an Associate Web Producer. (wahoo!!) I
/love/ my new job. I'm learning new things, working with a /great/ group
of people, and I'm being paid to do something I love: work on web pages.
- January 23, 2000. Chris and I started
dating.
- December 16, 1999. I met Chris.
