Law student makes Love From the Machine

This summer, local filmmakers wrapped up shooting Love From the Machine, an independent film co-written by Seton Hall Law student Matthew Savare. Savare is currently a second year student specializing in entertainment law.

Love from the Machine probes author Douglas Yates' assertion that people who are sensible about love are incapable of it. The movie is a love story with an ending that is thought-provoking as well as surprising.

A majority of the film's scenes were shot in New Jersey, the state where Savare was born and raised. Monmouth County, New Jersey, known for its beautiful scenery, served as the backdrop for many of the film's locations, and a host of local businesses donated their space for filming. Scenes were also filmed in New York City and Toronto.

Filming was completed this summer and is currently in the editing phase. Editing should be completed in early spring. While Savare is the co-author of the screenplay, he has been involved in all aspects of the movie, including funding, casting, shooting, editing, and marketing. Once completed, the film will be entered into various film festivals and efforts will be made to get world-wide distribution.

Although Love from the Machine is Savare's first completed movie script, he has published articles in trade journals, magazines, and newspapers. He holds a Master's degree in Corporate and Public Communications from Monmouth University. He received his B.A. in economics from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
