backgrounds.
Carol
Briselli, Violist
Ms. Briselli received her
M.M. from Temple University
and B.A. from SUNY-Binghamton,
studying with Toby Appel.
She is Assistant Principal
Violist of the Opera
Company of Philadelphia, and
also performs with the
Northeastern PA Philharmonic,
Orchestra 2001, and the
Mozart Orchestra. She is
Assistant Professor of Music
at West Chester University.

Vivian Barton, Cellist
Ms. Barton graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music, studying with David
Soyer. Her diverse musical
activities include playing with the Brandenburg
Ensemble, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and Jupiter Symphony, as well as being
Assistant Principal Cellist of Santa Fe Opera and the Opera Company of
Philadelphia. She has been invited to attend the Marlboro Music Festival and
the International Musicians' Seminar in England.

Igor Szwec, Violinist
Mr. Szwec graduated from the Philadelphia Musical Academy, studying with Karen
Tuttle. He is currently Concertmaster of the Philly Pops, New Jersey Opera,
Savoy Company and AVA Opera, as well as Assistant Concertmaster of the Opera
Company of Philadelphia. Mr. Szwec is also a member of the Concerto Soloists
Chamber Orchestra, with many solo and chamber music performances.

Barbara Jaffe, Violinist
Ms. Jaffe earned her M.M. from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied
with Donald Weilerstein. She has performed chamber music extensively, having
held positions as first violinist in the Cascade and Bradley String Quartets
in Montana and Illinois, respectively. Ms. Jaffe currently performs in the
Pennsylvania Opera Theater and Opera Delaware Orchestras, and is on the
faculty of the Settlement Music School and Germantown Friends School.
